Islandwood on Bainbridge Island now hosts 7 weddings each year! And Steve and Gabe were fortunate to be Islandwood’s “second wedding.” More than 130 family and friends spent the “wedding weekend” at Islandwood and talk about “joy in the air!”

Steve and Gabe’s Interfaith wedding ceremony combined rituals and traditions from their Jewish and Catholic faiths. When I think about the elements of this ceremony and the memories I take from this day, I smile. 1) We had a last minute snafu with the candle lighter; 2) Gabe and Steve were fun-loving as they circled each other in the Jewish tradition; 3) Gabe’s Sisters-in-Law led a beautiful prayer; 4) Best Guy Doug’s “countdown” for the breaking of the glass went off without a hitch and so much more.
Steve and Gabe ~ thank you for giving me such a lovely memory ~ be assured when I drive by Islandwood in the future, I’ll smile and think of you.
