Fred and Diane
As I sit here at my desk on this “first day” of January, I can’t help but think about why I do this work.
I do this work because I love it.
I do this work because I am humbled by the trust and opportunity given to share in a precious and lifetime moment.
I do this work because it’s fun!
Yes, very fun!
One of the most joyful pieces about this work are the unexpected moments of a wedding ceremony as captured here by Joe and Jill Hein (www.joejill.com) during Fred and Diane’s wedding ceremony.
During Fred and Diane’s wedding ceremony, there was so much joy in the room. Joy fuels synchronicity which creates those precious and sweet moments that a couple and guests remember for years to come.
What are “big ceremony moments?” They are small. Very small. Paradoxically, what is “big” within a ceremony is really small and what is “small” is really big. I’m taken back by how often this plays out with each couple I am so honored to know and work with.
So, these are my light ponderings for this first work day of the new year. Another year, another 365 days of unexpected moments!
